Moxie Salons Reopening June 22nd

Being closed over these past few months has prevented our stylists from meeting with our incredible clients. But we are excited to announce that all of our Moxie Salon & Beauty Bar locations will be reopening June 22nd throughout New Jersey. 

While we will still offer many of our salon services, we have made some changes in order to keep our stylists and our clients safe and protected.  Part of that change involves an appointment-only system. Call your nearby Moxie Salon & Beauty Bar to get your appointment scheduled!

Our Reopening Procedure

In order to safely and effectively reopen, our Moxie salons are implementing new safeguards and procedures. Learn more about our changes and get your salon services scheduled now! 

Hours and Services

While many of our locations plan on operating our standard hours seven days a week, some locations may have shortened or changed their hours. Check with your nearby location for the most up-to-date information, and follow our blog for upcoming location-specific information!

On top of that, we will not be offering makeup services. But, at this time, we are still offering all of our other salon services — including Mystic tanning available at the Clifton and Kinnelon locations. 

Personal Protection Equipment 

All of our staff members will be properly protected with the right personal protection equipment. While our stylists are in the salon, they will be wearing: 

  • Gloves that will be changed after each client or as needed
  • Face mask
  • Face shield (when necessary) 
  • Protective goggles (if needed) 
  • Disinfected aprons 

We are also factoring time in between appointments to allow our stylists to clean and sanitize workstations before the next client. 

To stay in compliance with CDC guidelines, we require that all of our guests wear face masks during their visit. Each client will receive a disposable cape or fresh, clean, and disinfected cape. We also ask that clients come alone, unless you need assistance or aid. 

All of our stylists will have their temperature checked before they come into work. We will also check the temperature of each client. If they have a temperature of 99 or above, we will ask that you reschedule and return to the salon when you are free of symptoms. 

You’ll also notice some physical changes to our salons. This includes a plexiglass barrier to keep our receptionists safe, no waiting area, no magazines, and no food or beverages. You’ll find hand sanitizer located throughout the salon for your use. We will also position clients at every other salon chair, bar chair, and hair wash sink to comply with social distancing requirements.

Additional Procedural Information

In order to open in a way that is safe for the community, we are also implementing some other procedures. As we already mentioned, we will not be allowing for walk-in appointments at this time. Instead, schedule your appointment in advance. For longer appointments, we may require a deposit to confirm that you will arrive for your appointment.

When you arrive at your Moxie salon for your appointment, knock on the door, or give the salon a call. We ask that you wait in your car up until your appointment time or your stylist is ready for you to minimize the number of customers we have in the salon at one time. 

Then when you’re done with your appointment, we are providing touchless payment options, where available.
